Highlander Research and Education Center
The Highlander Research and Education Center is a social justice organization that has been working towards creating a more equitable society since 1932. They provide training, education, and support to grassroots organizations and activists in the Appalachian region. One of their current initiatives is the Appalachian Transition Fellowship, which aims to build a more sustainable and just economy in the region.This program provides training and support to young leaders who are working towards creating positive change in their communities.
