Because so many productions have, in the past years, filmed in Tennessee... we now have more skilled labor to fit the industry. Let's not let that knowledge go to waste... nor move to another state.

Well my friend posted this on Facebook and I have shared this video, encouraging people to share this as well. I have been in a few movies myself and as an artist/songwriter have had the privilege of having some of my songs placed in movies...... I really hope we see more or our arts flourish here!

Robert, you are exactly right! Anyone can visit the FL Film Commission site where they list the productions that have certified under their new incentive. It's proof that their incentive (much like what we are proposing) is working...with NO Income tax~!

Eight months after the legislature enact a 300% increase in subsidies for movies and television production, five major shows plan to film in Florida. This was not a handout but a well thought out investment of $242 million dollars which will be returned many times in the way of well paying jobs and the ripple effect benefits to all service industries within the state. Film and television is a clean non-poluting industry which TN should encourage. The payback is huge, really, it should be a no-brainer.

Excellent, now let's see if our legislators will listen. I've been waiting since 1985.

Incredible video and message. Thank you AFFT and everyone involved. Marla Robinson said, "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." We can't "wish" the projects lost to other states with competitive incentives back to our state, however, we can responsibly and purposefully become competitive again. The time is now... Dolly looks amazing by the way! :)

If Dolly Parton can't sell this; I just don't know who could.

Well done, the message is important. Our legislators need to realize what is happening in neighboring states. We have great talent right here in Tennessee that needs to be encouraged and promoted. How about encouraging the filmmakers to tap our resources? Are legislators blind to this important industry or simply myopic. Either way there is a cure. Entice entertainers, films, music, stage with some well thought out incentives and let's make a go of Tennessee talent for all to see, hear and know about.

Thanks to all the exceptional people that took their time to make this video possible. Everyone did an amazing job! Let's not stop now, we need to continue our fight as an organized group to make our voices heard. "United we stand, divided we fall" and we must not fall.

Very nicely done! GLAD to see Dolly's appearance! Everyone is aware of the effect she's had on TN's economy and the shrewd business woman she is.
It's a very moving presentation with some excellent points being brought forward. The keyword I get is
LOSS... which is exactly what has happened to those projects whose production went to our surrounding states.
Let's hope this turns some political heads!

Great job - what an impact to have Dolly Parton doing the film. Kudos to whomever got her on board.

I had to relocate to Hollywood to get a steady gig in TV. It's criminal what's going on in Tennessee and short sighted to not embrace TV & film in the Volunteer State. Hopefully I can move back home someday.
